Hawks clinch the 4th slot in the playoffs and are guranteed home ice where they are dangerous. My question is this. Do you think the Hawks have a serious chance at making a push for Lord Stanley's Cup or are they a year away?
Heau Neau Hawks. Da Hawks will take Lord Stanleys Cup, starting a trend of Hawks winning trophies. Next up, the Hawkeyes winning the BCS National Championship.
Being an Iowa hawkeye myself it would be awesome to see them make a BCS, but that is wishful thinking especially since the team is all getting arrested for public intox. I think the Hawks will make a serious run, but the Red Wings are the team to beat. Those guys are veterans and have all played together for a long time and no what its like to win a championship. I hope the Hawks win it this year, but it will be a tough road. It is nice knowing that with this team being so young, they will be contenders for years to come.
