He got this idea from Adam Archuleta...how ironic..haha.. Archuleta is terrible. I would rather go to a David Archuleta concer then see him play safety.

Good new Ben Gordon should be in the lineup on Tuesday. If he is not do you think we have a chance???

Chit Chat of the Day

How would you grade the Bears Draft and why? Who can contribute right away? Who is the sleeper in this draft? I would give an A for a couple of reasons. Jay Cutler is our number one pick!!!! He is a Matt Stafford x 100. He is a pro bowl QB and the cream of the crop in the NFC. Although we didn't get the top tier WR or Safety which we desperately needed; we did upgrade at WR. Iglesias is a stud and is the big WR that we have been looking for to compliment Hester. He has great hands and good speed. He has been called the poor mans Hines Ward and is NFL ready. Iglesias possesses excellent quickness, agility and body control. Pro Football Weekly’s 2009 Draft Preview reports that he is “best suited to do the dirty work alongside a burner and work the short passing game in a West Coast offense." Knox has great size and ran the second fastest time at the combine and is faster then Hester. Jarron the DT is a little of a project but he is a freak of nature and ran the fastest 40yd dash time for all D Tackles! I believe Iglesias will contribute right away on Offense. Melton, Freeman, and DJ Moore will all contribute on Special Teams. My sleeper is DJ Moore. This guy has excellent speed and is a ball hawk. He is super athletic and played both offense and defense in the SEC!!! I believe he will jump Vasher on the depth chart at training camp?? Thoughts?

The Baby Bulls played their heart out and almost left Beantown up 2-0. For most of the game they looked faster, better, and more determined but that went to the way side as the Bulls didn't have an asnwer for Ray Allen. It would have been the greatest tragedy for Boston Fans since the Boston Tea Party for the heavly favored Celtics to lose to the Bulls. Ben Gordon played sensational and was hitting every shot he took. I don't blame our defense for allowing the only player on the Celtics hitting shots or lack of defensive rebounding. I blame Vinny Del Negro!! For the second game in a row, the Bulls were with out a time out with seconds left in the game. If the Bulls had a TO they could have called it right after Allen's shot and they would have had the ball at half court and with 2.7 seconds left. That is more then enough time for the Bulls to have a good look at the basket and the way Ben was shooting I wouldn't have been suprised if he hit a 3. Vinny, welcome to the playoffs obviously you have never coached on this stage.

Chit Chat of the Day

Wow, what a Chicago Sports Saturday!! It was truly a great day for Chicago Sports as all four major Chicago teams won. It started with the Baby Bulls pulling a huge upset in Boston. Derrick Rose was wicked hard core. The Bulls played fast and made enough plays to steal game one. Then the Hawks capped the day with a comeback victory to go up 2-0!!! Tazer was in prime form and showed skills and poise beyond his years. Which game are you most excited to see tonight the Bulls or Hawks playoff game?? I am super excited to watch both games as this Bulls team is actually fun to watch again and it will be interesting to see how Coach Q plays the matchup game with Calgary.

Chit Chat of the Day

Here come the Hawks the Mighty Blackhawks!!!! Wow, what a great game last night! I was definitely nervous after the first period as we showed our youth and came out flat. However, the resilient Hawks did what they did all year and fought until the end. Havlat played out of his skates and stepped up and played liked a man on a mission. I believe Havlat feels he needs to step up as he has the most playoff experience in the skilled positions. He did not disappoint; by tying the game up with about 5 minutes left after shooting a wrister and getting the rebound to light the lamp to force OT. If you went and grabbed a beer or a snack you might of missed the OT breakaway goal from Havlat. It was the 4th quickest OT playoff goal in NHL History. What were your thougts on the game? Who played well? Who played tentative. I think Kaner needs to get over his nerves and realize he's in the NHL PLAYOFFS, YOU ARE GOING TO GET HIT!

What a time to be a Chicago Sports Fan!! We have two solid baseball teams. The Bulls and the Hawks are in the playoffs!! Somebody pinch me as I am on cloud nine right now. With the Hawks starting their quest today. Who do you think will be the X Factor in the series? My X Factor is Khabibulin! He dominates Calgary and we all know that in the playoffs, the team goes as the goalie goes. I am hoping Khabi can get on a hot streak. Thoughts?

Hawks clinch the 4th slot in the playoffs and are guranteed home ice where they are dangerous. My question is this. Do you think the Hawks have a serious chance at making a push for Lord Stanley's Cup or are they a year away?

Gregg gets hammered in Beer Town

The Cubs missed a perfect opportunity to take the season opener against the only team in the division that should pose any sort of challenge to the Cubs, those boozers from Milwaukee. Harden pitched a great game and had great stuff with a live fastball reaching 97 MPH. His victory was spoiled like a brat left on the grill for too long in Milwaukee when Kevin Gregg blew the save in the 9th. Before the Kevin Gregg bashing starts....its only game 4 people. There is a lot of baseball left. I believe Kevin Gregg will prosper for a couple of reasons. He has some great closer qualities that overcome him not having overpowering stuff like the K-Rods of the world. Three words; calm, cool, and collective. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the spot light of being the Cubs closer. When he's out on the mound he seems to be totally focused and has a proven track record. I love Marmol just like anyone else and I feel he should earn the job by how he pitches this season. Right now he might be in the top 3 list in the NL in set up men. I still trust Kevin Gregg, do you??

Who should bat leadoff??

Is Ozzie trying to take a page from Lou's philiopshy and trying to add a speedy power hitter in the 1 hole?? Ramirez is not Fonzi at least not yet. The experiement failed at least for one day but its still early. Should Ken Williams try to find a legitimate leadoff hitter or is it still too early? Who would you want to see bat lead off and why? Getts, Anderson, Wise, Ramirez?

Chit Chat of the Day

Should we be concerned with Soto's shoulder injury??? My answer is Yes,.First of all I am a fan of the World Baseball Classic. I think its great. It allows professional baseball players to represent their countries on the world stage. With that being said, I do think it had something to do with Soto's injury and that makes me think twice of the WBC. They need to tweak some things to make it totally work and have better support from the US. A catcher with a bum shoulder is like a QB with a sore shoulder its not a good thing! Hopefully he can bounce back as I don't think Koyie ( I hate that mane) Hill can cut it.

Chicago's Pyscho T (Ty) Thomas

We might be witnessing the emergence of a star in Ty Thomas. He has been improving this whole year and is starting to justify the 4th overall pick in 2006. We all thought he was going to be a bust and the next Tyson Chandler . I was ready to give up on him and was calling to trade him for anyone. Thomas is super athletic and might be the most ahtletic player on the court. Last night was no different as he finished with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Who would have thought he would go 14-14 from the free throw line. That stat jumps out at me the most as that shows me he is not settling for a 15 footer and is attacking the basket. He along with D Rose will lead the Bulls in the future and into the playoffs. Do you think we should trade him or have him as a building block for the future??

Chit Chat of the Day

What Position should the Bears Draft with the Second Rd Pick. The obvious answer is WR but I think we can go in many directions as we have some holes to fill...what do you think?

DA Bulls

We all know Pax made a great trade in getting John Salmons aka poor mans Carmelo Anthony...he has been great for teh Bulls filling in for the non athletic waste of space Luol Deng...i hope we trade him in the off season for some balls andn headbands... What a waste of money and to think we didnt want to give him up for Gasol..anyways thats a different topic. Who should the Bulls target in the 2010 free agency class to build around D Rose. Personnaly i would go after Chris Bosh! He is in the prime of his career..he will give us a dominant big man..and the inside out game would work to perfection. With that being said I would like to get rid of Ben Gordon..he is a scorer yes... but a defense liability and too small as a shooting guard. If we cant move Deng we can move Salmons to the two and we will have a starting lineup that looks like this;

D Rose
Salmons
Deng
Thomas
Bosh

Cubs vs Sox

Who will have more wins this year?? I think the Cubs will for a couple reasons with the addition of Milton Bradley he know gives us that left handed power hitter in the middle of the lineup that we havent had since Mark Grace. We also got better by subtraction...Derosa...he was good at many things but not great at anything. With him being gone we are now able to plug in the pocket rocket who adds speed and balance to the lineup...if Fukodome can have a solid season..watch out....our line up is sick and better then the Sox...the Sox have a better lineup if we were playing at thillens and playing 12" softball but we are not and Jim Thome aka Mr Incredible is due to slow down. The Sox have power and experienced hitters but are they over the hill?? There are more question marks in Wise and Getts then a philosphy 100 page thesis. Also, is Quentin a one year wonder like Chumbawamba or is he a legit? Can Fields field and hit for a whole season??? Can the Cuban Missle play SS. I would say this if you can find a legitimate leadoff hitter then you guys can be good. Is it just me or is Buerhle on the Jenks diet??

1) Fonzi
2) Fukodome
3) D lee
4) Milton Bradley
5) Ramirez
6) Pocket Rocket
7) Soto
8) Theriot
9) Z

wow...now thats balanced.

Bears Wr's

I have given this much thought and I would love to see Torry Holt in Blue and Orange. He is arguably a hall of famer and the tarnsition would be smooth because of his relationship with Lovie and Orlando Pace. I still think he has two or tree good years left and can be a mentor to our young WR core. With that being said, I would love to draft Robiskie with our second rd pickbecause he has decent speed, good route runner and most importantly he is smart and will be able to pick up the playbook unlike Earl Bennet! I thought Vandy kids were suppose to be smart?? WR Depth Chart for the Bears in 2009
1) Torry Holt (hopefully)
2) Devin Hester
3) Earl Bennet (first time ever a WR caught zero catches the prior season and now starting yikes)
4) Robiskie
5) Rideau or Davis

wow...thank goodness for Greg third leg Olsen!
